Here in Bishop O’ Brien N.S the well being of our students is paramount. We strive to promote the holistic development of our children in a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment and encourage them to grow into happy, kind, resilient young adults.
We adopt a wide range of programmes and activities to promote wellbeing in our school community including Restorative Practise, Friendship Week, Friends for Life and Zippy’s Friends Programmes, Student Council and Green Schools. Students enjoy the benefits of our spacious yards, playing field, handball alley and a variety of lunchtime activities including Chess Club and table tennis.
We are currently working towards attaining an Amber Flag which recognises the efforts of schools and organisation to create a safe, happy, inclusive environment that supports mental well being.
