The student council is the voice of the students in our school. Student voice is when students express and share their thoughts, ideas and opinions to make the school a more positive, inclusive and supportive place for all pupils. In our school we believe that it is very important that children and adults work together to make big decisions and that the children feel heard.

We are currently in the process of creating our first Student Council. This will be a group of students who will meet every fortnight to discuss and implement ideas that can help to further enhance our school. There will be two representatives from each class from 1st to 6th class elected by their classmates by secret ballot. The Infant classes will be represented by the two elected pupils from 6th class.

The Student Council members will talk to their classmates before the meetings to see if they have any ideas for the Student Council and after the meeting to let them know about any important topics that were discussed.

Keep your eye on this page over the coming months where members of the Student Council will keep you up to date with the work of the council.
